The Data-Driven Athlete
Numbers don’t lie, and at FTP, we love numbers.
Every data-driven athlete knows that the more the data you gather— whether it’s mile times, lift PRs, or strength data gathered in our office— the fuller the picture you’re painting of yourself as an athlete.
However, while we do enjoy comparing your 5k PR from a year ago with your 5k PR from last week, and we’d love to know how much you’ve been able to lift at the gym, that’s not the only data we love to analyze.
The data we gather is designed to tell you exactly where you stand, which gives us a baseline for your plan of care and shows us exactly how to treat the whole athlete.
Over the last year, we’ve been able to use our VALD equipment in a variety of ways to test athletes of all strength levels and abilities and in all stages of rehab— from pre-op to post-op, from boot removal to return-to-sport. With our ForceDecks, DynaMo, and ForceFrame, we’re able to gather data from your very first visit with us and use it to shape your plan of care to fit your goals.
And we have to admit: it’s pretty cool to watch your numbers improve throughout your plan of care.
So how does it work? Typically in your first or second visit (or later on if you’re not able to test from the beginning), your physical therapist will run a battery of tests geared toward your specific needs, and they’ll go over your results with you as you’re testing. You’ll be able to see them in real time!
Then, throughout your plan of care, your PT will run the same tests periodically to make sure you’re improving. At the end of your plan of care, you’ll be able to compare your first and last set of results and see just how much stronger you’ve gotten!
From start to finish, your plan of care is guided by your strength data, explained and interpreted by your physical therapist so you know exactly what to expect.
*$99 evals last through the end of July.
